After we have OpenSIM Installed, we need to do some basic configuration.

After you will run “OpenSIM.exe” in the \bin folder, you need to wait for load of all features, which are needed, than you need to do some basic configuration:

Grid location: If you are going to run OpenSIM standalone, you can use defaults – 1000by1000

Internal IP adress: Put IP adress of yours PC, which you are running OpenSIM on (sample: 192.168.123.456)

Internal IP port: Use default – 9000

External host name: Use the same adress as in Internal IP adress.

Master Avatar First Name: Use default – Test

Master Avatar Last Name: Use dafault – User

Master Avatar Password: Use default – test

(You can change these informations in the file \bin\Regions\default.xml – open in the notepad)

Tips:

• Exit console with the command “quit”.
• For creating new user, use command “create user”
• For list of all commands, use “help”
